Globalnet and Komtell appoint Chief Financial Officer

Suri brings with him vast experience in dealing with project feasibility studies, bank finance and financial structuring.

Prior to joining the Koohiji Group, Suri, 53, served as Financial Controller and Assistant General Manager at Al Boom Marine in Dubai, where he performed a range of general management and finance functions. He was responsible for driving the performance of the company's multiple retail business units to achieve a 300 per cent growth in both sales and profits in a three year period.

Previously, Suri worked with Singapore based RSH Holdings, which he assisted in floating on the Singapore Stock Exchange. He was also instrumental in forming its two Middle East corporate entities RSH Middle East LLC and RBK Middle East LLC exclusively for Reebok Distribution. Being an ardent believer in the benefits of technology, he set up a proprietary IT system for RSH's fashion franchise 'Zara' in Singapore.

As CFO of Globalnet, the authorized distributor of Motorola in the UAE and Komtell, the distributor of Panasonic telecommunication products in Iran, Suri will be responsible for driving achievement of bottomline, liaising with principals and maximizing returns on investments. He will also assist in implementing an efficient ERP solution.
