Masafi celebrates 25th anniversary in style

Masafi Mineral Water Company has celebrated its 25th anniversary in style with a hugely successful consumer promotion in October that boosted sales over company expectations during the month-long campaign.

The celebrations culminated with a Gala Dinner at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and a spectacular display of fireworks over the Dubai Creek.

During the event Mr. Ashraf Abushady, General Manager (Sales, Marketing and Distribution) presented the Chairman of Masafi, Mr. Abdurrahman Al Ghurair with a memento from the company in appreciation of his pioneering effort and contribution that has helped Masafi develop into a world-class international brand of bottled water.

Speaking at the 25th anniversary function, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Ghurair, Chairman of Masafi said: Masafi has come a tremendous way in the past 25 years and grown far beyond even our most far-reaching ambitions. From our establishment as a local UAE company in 1976, you can now find our products across the Arab Gulf, in Europe, Africa and Asia and now in our newest market - Japan".

Expressing his thanks to the many business partners, distributors and associates of Masafi, Mr. Al Ghurair said that without their help, support and commitment, Masafi could not have reached its present level of success.

Mr. Ashraf Abushady, General Manager (Sales, Marketing and Distribution) of Masafi, said: "Our journey of 25 years has posed big challenges all along the way. Masafi is proud to have risen above all challenges and achieve the market leadership it enjoys today. Today Masafi's contribution is almost 50% of the UAE bottled water business with stable and on-going growth in terms of volume and share".

He attributed this achievement to many factors including Masafi's commitment to continuously improving the excellence of its product quality, use of state-of-the-art production facility and latest technology for operational efficiency, use of eco-friendly PET material affirming the company's care and concern for the environment and introducing innovative marketing concepts and promotional ideas.

"Our unrelenting desire to follow the best industry practices has won Masafi many accolades and quality awards both in the domestic and international markets", Mr.Abushady added.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary and reward its loyal customers in the UAE, Masafi ran a unique promotion that offered consumers the chance to win a dream home worth Dhs. 449,000 at the new Jumeirah Beach Residence complex in Dubai and thousands of other fabulous prizes.

Ms. Zeina Mouhawej, Marketing Manager of Masafi said that the promotion featuring 1.5 litre and 500 ml Masafi bottles had received a phenomenal response from customers that outstripped their expectations and led to a dramatic sales increase of 10 percent during October.
