The Bride Show Dubai promises glamour for the city's fashionistas

With daily fashion shows unveiling both traditional and modern bridal looks from a cluster of leading names in the Middle Eastern fashion industry, the Bride Show Dubai 2007, is set to become a 'fashion week' in its own right.
For every woman who enjoys fashion and beauty, the Bride Show Dubai is a glittering fashion extravaganza featuring 16 different catwalk shows, including Swarovski's Young Designer of the Year Award, showcasing the latest bridal and fashion collections from top designers.
This year's highlights will include a collection from India's leading celebrity fashion designer and style icon, Manish Malhotra. Catering to a diverse audience, Malhotra's collection has a particular focus on the fashion-conscious Arab community and will be showing a range of specially designed sheilas, abayas and jalabiyas at the show.
Also showing her collection at this year's The Bride Show Dubai is leading Lebanese designer Dominique Fayad. Her show-stopping collection entitled "Glamour Spirit" was inspired by her Oriental and European vision of charm, nobleness and uniqueness for a wild diversity of seductive women with refined tastes.
Not only will professional designers throughout the region be flaunting their unique designs, but amateur designers and fashion students will be showcasing their wedding dress designs as part of the competition for the prestigious title of Swarovski Young Designer of the Year.
Showing on the final day of the exhibition, The Swarovksi Young Designer of the Year Competition is based on a theme that acts as a source of inspiration to the contestants. This year's year's theme, 'Audacity', will no doubt raise the bar in terms of innovation and cutting edge fashion design. The unique wedding dress creations shown in a glamorous catwalk show will be assessed by a panel of judges formed by eminent personalities from the fashion and glamour industry in the UAE.
Brides-to-be as well as women who enjoy fashion, beauty and home décor, have the opportunity to meet with more than 300 companies from 16 countries showcasing everything from wedding gowns, international haute couture fashion, beauty and hair to wedding organisers, venues and honeymoon destinations. Daily competitions will be taking place and one lucky visitor will win the grand prize of a full honeymoon package.
The Bride Show Dubai is open daily from 2pm-9.30pm.
