Etisalat toll free 101 service to handle all customer care requirements

Etisalat customers can now enjoy convenient and free customer care from one toll-free number, 101, which was previously chargeable from mobile telephones.

From Sunday April 8 all Etisalat customer service numbers will be combined and will be accessible by calling 101 toll-free whether calling from Etisalat GSM or Wasel mobiles, or fixed-lines.

As a further convenience, in order to support its growing customer-base, Etisalat will now support callers in Urdu/Hindi and Malayalam, in addition to the original Arabic and English when receiving call at 101.

This re-designed 24-hour service, which combines 800-6100 (Internet support services), 800-5500 (E-Vision services), 800-6464 (mobile value added services), 800-3463(e-shop online services), and 171 (fault reporting centre), will allow callers to obtain information on Etisalat's special offers and promotions, subscribe quickly and conveniently to those same services, discuss billing information, obtain clarifications on billed items, ask for and receive general information as well as receive technical support and report faults for Mobile, Landline, Internet, TV products, and for Etisalat online service.

Etisalat's Directory Enquiries service, 181 has not been affected and customers should continue to dial 181 to obtain contact information.

Etisalat Customer Care Centre achieves ISO 27001:2005 Certificate
Etisalat also announces today a further achievement in the delivery of high quality customer service as Etisalat's Customer Care Center was awarded the ISO 27001:2005 certification. The ISO (International Standards Organization) Certification was achieved in recognition of fulfilling the information security management system standard set by ISO. ISO 27001:2005 specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls customized to the needs of individual organizations or parts thereof. It is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties.
This is one more step Etisalat has taken to support its customers and protect their privacy by implementing this security protocol. The Customer Care Center ensures Etisalat customers using online service and obtaining support over the Internet can do so with confidence and that their privacy is being protected and their business kept confidential.

Etisalat Official UAE Telephone Directories available on CD for first time
Etisalat, in association with Al Wahda-Express, official publishers of the Etisalat telephone directory, has published the 2007 Etisalat Official UAE telephone directories and door-to-door delivery has commenced. Over half of the printed hard and soft copies of the Etisalat Yellow Pages and White Pages have arrived at their respective business and residential addresses. Telephone directories can also be collected from any Etisalat business center across the UAE.

This year, for the first time, Etisalat offers its Directories on a CD-ROM in a convenient and easy to use electronic format containing subscriber information for the whole of the UAE.

The Etisalat Yellow Pages printed book is designed for convenient use, and is segregated into three geographical areas- Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. Its contents also include all emergency numbers for each Emirate and a series of maps of the Emirates.
