In the last two years alone, the company has already supplied 150,000 square metres of its products to the Qatari market, demonstrating considerable confidence in the Company's ability to deliver on quality and performance.

Emirates Glass will supply its Super E Neutral Blue product, which offers an excellent combination of high light transmission and low shading co-efficient to the two Phase II hotel towers. The company's EmicoolSun NN50 and NN46 Green glass products will clad the three hotel towers coming up on Phase III of the City Centre Doha. The aluminium contractor for the project is Qatar Metalcoat and the main contracts are being executed by Al Habtoor Contracting Company.

Mr. Ziad Yazbeck, General Manager, Emirates Glass said: "The EmiCool Super E2 and EmiCoolSun NN Series offer good solar resistance and thermal insulation whilst providing excellent daylight-factors internally. These products are nowadays widely preferred and recommended by architects and designers for tower projects in the region."

"Supplies have already commenced for the Phase II towers and will be completed by April this year. For Phase III towers, supplies will begin by June and will be completed in October," said Mr. Yazbeck.

EmiCool Super E2, an insulated glass product, is one of the EmiCool ranges of Low-E products. This type of glass offers an exceptional combination of high light transmission, low indoor/outdoor reflection, neutral appearance and good solar resistance.

The widely used EmiCoolSun NN Series has been developed as a range of Low-E coatings which offer a neutral silver appearance. A range of four coating options provides a multifunctional capability with good solar resistance and excellent thermal insulation. It also allows generous transmission of light with low internal reflection, giving the appearance of clear or tinted glass when viewed from inside.

"Emirates Glass, already an established regional leader in architectural glass products, has been steadily increasing its market share overseas. The company's latest contract for the City Centre Doha Phase II and Phase III Hotel Tower project is a further indication of its market leadership and its product appeal," remarked Mr. Yazbeck.

The company is at present executing a AED100 million expansion plan to increase its coating capacity by three million square metres per annum and bring the total capacity to 3.7 million square metres of flat glass products to meet a rapidly growing demand for its products.

"Such appropriate measures, initiated with an eye on the future, will ensure that Emirates Glass stays on a strong growth path. We are confident of realising more major contracts in the coming months," pointed out Mr. Yazbeck.
