Microsoft Bahrain further strengthens its partnership with government

Microsoft Bahrain held its Third Annual Breakfast Series Meetings at the Ritz Carlton hotel on April 5th, 2007.

The event to discuss its existing agreements, and the possibility of forging new agreements around the government and Microsoft's joint vision of integrating technology into daily life in Bahrain, and transforming the kingdom into a technology hub for the Middle East.

The meeting will be attended by senior Microsoft officials, and Bahrain Ministries and Affiliates including directors of Information Technology, Directors of Administration and Directors of Finance along with officials from Central Informatics Organization (CIO.)

"We are very happy to have our agreement with Microsoft" Said Mohammed Al Amer, President of the CIO, "it allows us to utilize the latest technology available and achieve the best possible performance results for the Government of Bahrain, while also providing us with training, consultancy, and support."

"We always look forward to the Breakfast Series Meetings with the Government." Said Sherif Bayoumi, Microsoft Bahrain Country Manager, "We are committed to supporting the government of Bahrain in its e-Government initiative towards building an 'Intelligent Kingdom' and are very proud of the achievements made so far"

As part of the Breakfast, Microsoft will be awarding appreciation certificates to Bahraini Ministries to express the company's gratitude to the government for its support over the past year and in celebration of the third anniversary of the joint enterprise agreement between Microsoft and the Bahraini Government.

"With our continued joint efforts in Bahrain, we look forward to future successes and aim to put the Kingdom on the international IT map." Added Bayoumi.

The annual breakfast is the third in the series and is a key element in Microsoft Bahrain's government relations, allowing the leading technology company to align its ideas for future IT development in the Kingdom with the Bahrain's Government and key officials.
