This year the forum brings together many exciting case studies on both regional as well as international Sukuk structuring in addition to covering major issues related to the development of the Islamic financial services industry and takaful. With more than 200 participants from 18 countries, the forum was attended by investors, financial fund managers, respective Sharia'h Scholars and senior governmental executives. The IIFF 2007 included a number of workshops and educational sessions with industry related exhibition allowing major players within the industry to meet and network.
Mr. Ashraf Bseisu, General Manager - Solidarity, spoke about the challenges facing the Takaful industry and the means to maintain and develop the current industry positioning through further penetrating international key markets.
Commenting on his participation, Mr. Bseisu said:
"It is indeed an honor to participate and speak on behalf of Solidarity, and be an active member in sharing and entrenching our experience with respective industry experts and Sharia'h Scholars. The Takaful industry represents an important component in the overall Islamic financial system given its role in providing a solid infrastructure that helps in developing a mean to provide a self financing aging population that doesn't rely on social largesse. Our challenge today is to work as a force together to provide innovative and competitive Takaful and other financial services products that comply with Islamic Sharia'h".
Bassel Hanbali said:" Solidarity's participation in world class conferences and forums represents the management direction to further support the development of this industry. Believing in our role as an active member in the global village and the responsibility towards providing Islamic financial solutions, Solidarity committed it self to continually interact and share in providing opportunities and facing challenges for better global Takaful infrastructure".
