Oman Air appoints Alan W. Arch as Divisional Manager Commercial

Mr. Alan W. Arch has been appointed as Divisional Manger Commercial at Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate which uses Muscat, the Omani capital as a base for its operations.
He added, "The Commercial Division is considered of an importance within the aviation industry, due to the significant role it plays in the development and the implementation of business plans to airlines, therefore we are pleased to welcome Mr. Alan W. Arch to Oman Air team, and wish him all the success in his new position. With his long experience of 32 years, the airline will positively achieve further progress and success".
Mr. Alan Arch commented, "The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has become a distinctive trademark due to its outstanding performance, high quality services and obligation to its customers which have contributed to a considerable increase in passenger flow during the past years".
He added, "Given the understanding of Oman Air's management ambitious and persistent plans, to apply policies to upgrade and develop the company, moreover connect Muscat with further tourism and economic international cities with upholding the excellent services extended to their clients. I aspire to contribute alongside the management to achieve the targets sought by the Board of Directors. I am conceit with the considerable confidence granted to me by the company's higher management, and the fact that they have enough confidence in me to privilege me with this position."
The American born, Alan W. Arch, has done his higher academic studies in business administration from The New York University, and has held several senior executive positions in international airlines both in the United States and Gulf region. He joined Independence Air as Area Manager -Pacific Northwest, US Airways as Manager - Planning and Performance, World Airways as General Manager - Western US, Pro Air as Vice President Planning, American Airlines as Manager International Route Development and Managing Director-International Planning, United Airlines as Marketing Manager - North Pacific as Manger - Forecasting, Pan Am as Manager/Passenger Service Methods and Standards as well as Manager-Market Analysis, in addition to Gulf Air for one year at the beginning of eighties as Manager- Economic Planning.
In addition to his vast experience in the airline sector, Alan W. Arch also brings with him a wealth of experience in airport management and has occupied a number of positions in this field such as Vice President, Marketing at Airport Group International in USA and Director, Marketing at Port of Seattle. With all the above experience Mr. Alan Arch managed to accomplish many achievements during his professional career, and will be considered as an important addition to the executive management of Oman Air.
