Managers and staff from IDC Saudi Arabia were joined by the Valencia-Spain office in a training session conducted by Mobin Sheikh, Principal Consultant at ICON-RealConsult.
Foundation course focused on learning objective like concepts of quality, failures causes in achieving quality, benefits of quality, cost of quality, concepts of continual improvements, process approach to improvements, different improvement models, interpretation of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standard and other improvement options available internationally.
Magda Helou, President of IDC in her opening remarks said, "From Southern California to Riyadh; IDC started the ISO certification in April 2007, and we are committed to promote quality culture through out IDC to ensure that all our process and systems are customer focused." She further added, "Under direct consultation to Mr. Mobin Sheikh and his team of productivity consultants and trainers from ICON-RealConsult, we feel that our business processes are getting better defined and properly aligned, and we hope by the time of certification, we will have definite positive impact of ISO 9001:2000 on our customer care and bottom-line."
"You can not manage, what you can not measure and you can not measure what you can not operationally define, and you can not operationally define what you do not understand," was the core idea explained during the training by Mobin Sheikh.
In conclusion, he thanked the trainees and emphasized, "ICON-RealConsult is ethical consulting, training and system integration company and focuses on system improvements and value additions for its clients. It offers a unique synergy of best practices like ISO and technology like ERP and CRM software solutions. We believe that ISO Certificate is by-product of all these value additions and is just the start of new journey for excellence."
During the event Mr. Jacques Chammas, Management Representative of IDC thanked ICON-RealConsult and reiterated IDC commitment to quality.
Mr. Fabio P. Ospino from IDC Valencia-Spain shared with the audience the importance of quality with increasing focus on environmental aspects. He explained to audience that global warming is reason for many countries around the globe introducing strict legislations; so design and construction companies should consider environmental impacts of designs and constructions and should create awareness among their customers for energy conservation and creating environmentally friendly projects both residential and commercial.
