QAPCO signs ethylene sale contract with Indian FINOLEX Industries

Qatar Petrochemical Co. (QAPCO) signed on 8th April, 2007 a sale contract with the Indian company FINOLEX Industries to sell ethylene and other Qatar Vinyl Company's chemical products.
According to this sale contract, FINOLEX will purchase 22,500 MT/year of Ethylene from QAPCO, as well as 40,000-60,000 MT/year of QVC's products of Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) and Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM). The supply is scheduled to start from 1st Jan. 08 until 31st Dec. 09.

"FINOLEX signed the first Ethylene contract with QAPCO in 1994, and after 13 years we are back again to sign a new contract, and we are pleased with this successful partnership." Mr. Saurabh Dhanorkar said.
The Finolex Group is one of India's leading industrial companies interested in diverse areas such as chemical, petrochemicals, electrical products and telecommunications. FINOLEX will use QAPCO's and QVC's purchased raw materials for its PVC plant in India. QAPCO has opened three liaison offices in India at the beginning of 2003. The main one in Mumbai, while the other two in Delhi and Chennai to facilitate marketing its petrochemical products of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Sulphur to the Indian market.
