Mattar Al Tayer receives the Commercial & Economic Advisor at the Spanish Embassy

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman & CEO of Roads & Transport (RTA), received Mr. Manuel Fai, the Commercial & Economic Advisor at the Spanish Embassy in the UAE.
The meeting discussed ways and means to boost the relations and exchange expertise between RTA and the Spanish businesses in the filed of roads & transport and explore the future roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai.
"RTA is committed to adopt the level best practices at each and every stage in order to achieve its objectives of ensuring smooth and easy transport for all and contribute to enhancing the presence of Dubai worldwide" Al Tayer said. He further pointed "The UAE in general and Dubai in particular are witnessing phenomenal changes that led to influx of humans and businesses; and this requires upgrading of the infrastructure such as road networks and various types of transport modes like Dubai Metro, Marine transport, buses, taxis ... etc so as to cater for the increasing growth of population, projects and urban expansion.
During the meeting Al Tayer hailed the existing cooperation between the UAE and the Kingdom of Spain, and commented, "The Spanish industry has a reputable history and is known for its strength and high standing among its clients in the region". He expressed his hope to see the Spanish companies bidding & winning contracts to implement some of the several projects that the RTA intends to put forward in its current plan.
The Commercial & Economic Advisor of the Spanish Embassy praised the sweeping development witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai in a record time that made it a hub for investors, businessmen and tourists, thanks to the wise leadership and sharp vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He paid tribute to the Dubai Metro Project; which shall bring about a shift in the quality of transportation in the area, add further beauty to the outstanding projects witnessed by Dubai and contribute to easing mobility of population and traffic jams.
He added, "The Spanish businesses and factories are encouraged to engage in the roads & transport projects intended to be carried out by RTA. We will be keen to introduce successful means to improve the quality of life in the field of transport and infrastructure". He further stated that the Spanish companies enjoy extensive experience in the field of roads & transportation and are engaged in several projects in the UAE and other countries in the region. They are also privileged with a high international reputation to the extent of implementing and managing road projects in the USA.
