About Hyatt's Brands
Park Hyatt
Located in fashionable cities such as Tokyo, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Milan and Madrid, Park Hyatts epitomize modern luxury. The Park brand was introduced in the 1980s to cater to discriminating travelers who seek privacy in a sanctuary type of environment. Parks are situated on prime real estate in gateway cities and have a chic residential feel with classic, elegant interiors. These small European and Asian-style boutique hotels, most with fewer than 200 rooms, are designed with an attention to detail, good taste, and reference to local culture that is unrivaled. These are stylish rather than trendy hotels. Spacious guest rooms feature Egyptian cotton linens, goose-down duvets, fine wool carpets, walk-in closets, granite and marble spa-like bathrooms with seven fixtures, state-of-the-art amenities, and 24-hour butler service. Park Hyatt hotels very closely reflect the unique culture and characteristics of each destination.
Grand Hyatt
Premier city locations combined with dramatic architecture make Grand Hyatts the hub for those who want to see and be seen. Guests feel a true sense of occasion when they arrive at a Grand Hyatt hotel. The hotels are grand in every sense of the word, from the bustling, opulent lobbies that form the heart of the hotel, to the dramatic guestrooms and indulgent bathrooms, and the eclectic choice of restaurants and bars.
Characterized by impressive design, Grand Hyatts are for those who want to luxuriate. Settings range from Kaetsu (restaurant) in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, where guests can order from the most extensive sake menu in Hong Kong or sip the world's best bubbly at the Champagne Bar, to Cloud 9 restaurant and lounge on the 87th floor in the world's highest hotel, Grand Hyatt Shanghai.
Introduced in the 1980s, Grands are often recognized as the leading business hotels in their cities. Grand Hyatts provide stunning venues for prestigious gala events, and conferences and banquets.
Hyatt Regency
Hyatt Regency hotels are the company's core brand, with properties found worldwide from Baku, Azerbaijan to Los Angeles, California. These hotels are recognized for their slick service, innovative facilities and fashionable interiors. The Hyatt Regency brand of hotels were the first to offer the concept of the executive floor with its Regency Club, which features a private separate area in the hotel with a lounge featuring continental breakfast, evening hors d' oeuvres and a dedicated concierge. Hyatt Regency hotels are world-renowned for their group meeting and business facilities.
Hyatt Regency hotels cater to local markets and are individually designed to reflect a city's flavors so even executives with the most hectic schedules will be able to experience a destination's culture and charisma. This is where highly driven guests seek rejuvenating accommodations and Hyatt's signature products: state-of-the-art technology, exceptional meeting and fitness facilities, innovative restaurants and bars, and, most importantly, service that meets guests' needs and whims.
Hyatt Resorts
Hyatt Resorts are renowned for remaining true to their destinations and incorporating local history, culture and resources into the overall vacation experience. This dedication to capturing the unique essence of a destination, while offering the consistency of exceptional guest services and state-of-the-art facilities at all resorts, has earned Hyatt top rankings from such prestigious publications as Condé Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure magazines.
Offering world-class resort amenities such as golf courses designed by architects George Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Hyatt's resorts cater to the most discriminating of business and leisure travelers.
For those who prefer blue water to golf greens, unique swimming pools continue to be a trademark of Hyatt resorts. In addition to swimming, Hyatt's beachfront resorts are located in some of the world's best areas for water sports including Scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing, kayaking and sailing.
These family-friendly destinations were the first to offer a full-scale children's program. Introduced first at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale in 1989, Camp Hyatt offers supervised entertainment and activities for kids ages 5 to 12 integrating destination culture and values.
Hyatt Place
Since autumn 2006, travelers in the United States are able to experience Hyatt Place, Hyatt's newest brand. In 2007, 120 Hyatt Place properties will open in the USA. Within the next few years, the brand will extend to other parts of the world, including Europe and Asia.
Global Hyatt Corporation's foray into the select service segment features original design, technology and sensory branding elements that create a leading edge hotel concept in the upscale select service segment. An industry innovator, Hyatt Place allows its guests to enjoy unexpected familiarity coupled with flexibility and ease of use.
Guests can experience the "larger than home" Hyatt Place atmosphere from the first moment they enter the hotel. Lobbies are designed as welcoming and open gathering spaces with 'hosts' rather than check-in agents, registration kiosks, an intimate coffee and wine café and an inviting dining area. In the guest room, which is 25% larger than traditional hotel rooms, features include Hyatt's signature plush Grand Beds™, granite counters throughout and comfortable relaxation and working areas with a state-of-the-art media center.
Food and beverage operations at Hyatt Place properties include a cashless food center in the lobby offering freshly prepared daily breakfast items, sandwiches, salads and snacks available around the clock. An Illy coffee bar offers signature items throughout the day.
Summerfield Suites
Acquired in January 2006, Summerfield Suites are Hyatt's signature extended stay hotels. With sleeping and working quarters that reflect one or two bedroom apartments, the properties offer an upscale experience for the business traveler on an extended trip. Public space and guestrooms are presented with stylish interior design, forward thinking technology and unique applications of sensory branding, such as in-hotel music offerings.
