Mercedes-Benz Mid-East March sales at record high

Mercedes-Benz Middle East sales were up just over 10 per centh in March to a record 1,842 compared to 1,672 in 2006 once again confirming the company's position as the region's leading premium car manufacturer.

First quarter sales of 4,462 were also well on track to meet targets for 2007.

First quarter sales of the new S-Class, the region's favourite premium class sedan, were steady at 1,931 while over 1,059 customers took delivery of a C-Class, an increase of over 21% on the same period in 2006.

"With the launch of the revolutionary new C-Class currently taking place across the region, new engine variants being added to our popular E-Class and ML-Class ranges and an exciting addition to a high-performance marque, I am extremely confident about the rest of the year, said Johannes Fritz, Director, Sales and Marketing, Mercedes Car Group, Middle East."
