Swiss target GCC tourists

Switzerland received more than 75,000 GCC visitors in 2006 which was above Switzerland Tourism projections, Tourism and Travel News Middle East reports. Officials said part of the success was due to a rule that allows GCC nationals to enter Switzerland with a Schengen visa. Swiss Tourism will increase its advertising budget in the GCC by at least 10% this year in a bid to attract wealthy travellers from the region.
