Cognos partner LETS to support leading KSA automotive credit agency

LETS has recently signed a contract to supply Cognos Business Intelligence and Enterprise planning solutions to AJIL, known in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the Modern Company for Sale of Cars and Equipment on Installments Ltd.

AJIL is a Saudi enterprise leading the way in providing customised financing solutions to its clients, for the lease or the credit purchase of equipment, vehicles and other types of capital assets. It is AJIL's mission to help and assist customers to sustain competitiveness in their field of work by providing them custom-made financing solutions.

Most of AJIL's IT systems were designed and implemented on a purpose-built basis and are hosted on various platforms, including iSeries OS/400, Microsoft SQL, Lotus Domino and even MySQL. Given this platform diversity, a system capable of administering all the different software packages was key. This posed a real challenge to anyone attempting to harmonise business intelligence for the vehicle loan giants.

"It was my prime responsibility to address the issue of Enterprise level reporting and analysis. We further made a market survey and found Cognos 8, which addressed all our issues at the grass root level," said Mr. Vikram Kumar, Head of Business Intelligence Practices at AJIL.

"Cognos 8 helped us to integrate all these data sources and generate enterprise-level query and OLAP reporting, with centralized distribution and repository, zero footprint architecture, web architecture, dashboard, event management, scorecarding all on one platform,"
