Dubai Islamic Bank launches New Visa card promotion

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), one of the UAE's leading financial institutions, recently launched a new promotion for its Visa and Visa Electron cardholders.
"Visa and Visa Electron cards are the most convenient way to pay in the UAE, across the Middle East and throughout the world. This promotion encourages Visa and Visa Electron cardholders to use their card anywhere, at any time and in any way," said Mr. Saad Abdul Razak, Executive Director for Consumer Banking Services, DIB.
By using their Visa card for transactions Dubai Islamic Bank's Visa cardholders will be entered into two draws for the chance to win one of 10 free prizes in each draw. Each prize is a total refund of a month's spending up to AED 5,000 on the winners' card. Cash transactions are not eligible.
Commenting on the new promotion, Rashid Mahboob, Head of Cards Department, DIB said: "We wanted to run another promotion which emulates the success of our September promotion. We are keen to encourage everyday payment activity and highlight the ease with which our customers can manage their finances through responsible card usage.
"This promotion will encourage our customers to do exactly that and also benefit from the flexibility and security that comes hand in hand with using a Visa card," he continued.
Jonathan Cabedo, Deputy General Manager, Middle East for Visa International said, "We are delighted to be partnering Dubai Islamic Bank for this promotion. This is a wonderful time for giving and we are delighted to be providing more value to DIB Visa cardholders when shopping for everyday items with the Visa card."
This new promotion follows the bank's recent seven week free flight promotion when it provided 30 winners with return flights to a variety of destinations including Sydney, Mumbai, London, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jeddah, Cairo and Beirut.
