RTA stand at Map Middle East 2007 attracts visitors

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) stand at Map Middle East 2007 conference and exhibition organized at Dubai World Trade Center has attracted experts and specialists, as well as the visitors, particularly the "Dalili" navigation system which provides the drivers on the roads about all information they may need.

The stand has attracted a significant number of the exhibition visitors including experts, specialists, technicians and guests as well for the stand's remarkable organization and for the valuable exclusive displayed systems and items

Apart from the participation in the conference and exhibition, RTA is one of the sponsors to this event due to its importance in providing an opportunity to display the latest techniques of geographic information in all fields including the roads, communications, and infrastructure projects, especially in the light of latest developments of the world geographic information systems.

"Dalili," which widely attracted a large number of visitors to the RTA Stand, is considered the most updated systems the RTA laid down to overcome the traffic congestion and obstacles, as it is an audiovisual system that characterizes with dynamic, accuracy and supreme efficiency to provide the drivers with an information over the situation on the roads and obstacles causes, and steer them to the possible alternates and solutions like, changing the lane or using other alternative roads.

Engineer Maithaa Bin Aday, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, confirmed the importance of participating in this outstanding event, as it is considered one of the important specialized events in mapping that provides an opportunity to learn about the latest technical evolvements, expertise exchange between the exhibitors and the specialized producers. It also provides the professionals and researchers with the latest developments in the geo information systems, and the remote sensor systems and aerial imaging.

She brought the attention to "Dalili" that is showcased at the RTA Stand, which is regarded one of the sophisticated systems that proved to be efficient and effective since delivered in Dubai. It has been showcased in more than one specialized exhibition and became widely useable in many countries all over the world, especially those having similar experiences like Dubai's in terms of the traffic jams, pointing out that it falls within the framework of the efforts the RTA is exerting to ensure its overall vision of "Safe and Smooth Transport for All."
