Emirates Aviation College attracts huge response at GETEX

Emirates Aviation College - Aerospace & Academic Studies, is attracting large numbers of young people to its stand at this year's Gulf Education & Training Exhibition, currently being held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
"We are overwhelmed by the number of young people who are interested in joining the exciting world of aviation," said Mohammed Al Budoor, Vice Chancellor of the Emirates Aviation College's Aerospace & Academic Studies wing.
"We are accepting students for the next academic year and we have had queries about all our aeronautical engineering courses and the air transport management programmes, in addition to the travel and tourism programmes."
The four-year degree courses in Air Transport Management, Aeronautical Engineering and Tourism Management are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research.
The college is also offering a new two-year Executive MBA programme in collaboration with the UK's Brunel University, which specialises in the aviation industry.
Also available are vocational programmes leading to diplomas in Aerospace Engineering, Business Management, Travel & Tourism Management and Electronic & Computer Engineering.

The Aerospace and Academic Studies facility offers a range of career programmes tailored to meet the personnel requirements of the aerospace industry, travel & tourism and business management.
Academic degree programmes
The college offers three bachelor degree programmes in Air Transport Management, Aeronautical Engineering and Tourism Management, all accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In addition, the college offers the Coventry University Final Year Bachelor (Honours) programme. The BEng. (Honours) degrees, which are awarded by Coventry University, are in the fields of Aerospace Systems, Avionics Technology and Electronics Engineering. Higher National Diploma (HND) students and graduates who hold HNDs in either Aerospace Engineering or Electronics and Computer Engineering can complete their bachelor degree with this one-year programme.
The Centres of Excellence & Applied Research
The centre of Excellence recognises the importance of providing a sound vocational education structure based on the needs of industry in the UAE, the region and beyond. On completion of high school or secondary education, students can follow the path of "learning by doing", acquiring both knowledge and skills that allow them to form a greater understanding of the needs and practices of the workplace. This might be in preparation for a career as an aircraft engineer, an IT specialist a hotel manager or a business entrepreneur.

Electronics & Computer Engineering
Business Management
Travel & Tourism Management
The Centre for Applied Research also works closely with industry to find solutions to critical industrial issues. Faculty members and postgraduate research students from the Centre of Excellence provide the research expertise and manpower to engage in such industrial research.
