Etisalat recognised by Arabcom as key contributor to ICT Growth

Etisalat has been recognized by the Arabcom Group for its immense and meaningful contribution towards developing the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector in the Arab region.

Mrs. Katia Tayar, Founder and President of Arabcom Group, presented the award during the 10th Annual ARACBOM conference, which was held on 11th and 12th April 2007 at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai. Dignitaries at the award ceremony included Ministers, IT experts and diplomats from around the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Katia Tayar said, "The Arabcom award is in recognition of significant efforts made by Etisalat in developing telecom across the region. We are very happy to honour Etisalat with this award."

Ahmed Bin Ali, Vice President- Corporate Communications, Etisalat, said: "We are very proud to have been honoured by the Arabcom group and this will serve to spur us on in our efforts to develop the telecom sector in the region. Etisalat has always been committed to providing telecommunications services, as well as offering a range of innovative and modern ICT services. We have pioneered a number of services in the region, and we will continue to build on this."
