DIC close to Kochi deal

Dubai Internet City's $350m Smart City project in Kochi has moved a step closer after an official from Kerala's government said the DIC had agreed to revised terms and conditions, according to the IANS. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan had demanded a guarantee that 90,000 jobs would be created, while he also stated the DIC should have no prior involvement in any other potential IT projects in the state.
