Dubai Knowledge Village to organise first Career Fair

Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV), member of TECOM Investments, is organising its first Career Fair on 1 May, 2007.
Organised by the Department of Student Services and Programmes (DSSP) at Dubai Knowledge Village, the one-day Fair will be held at Dubai Knowledge Village Block 1, Conference Centre, from 10:00 am - 07:00 pm.
Students from all UAE universities can attend the Fair that will host over 27 participating companies from diverse sectors including oil and gas, advertising and PR, automobile, construction, finance, electronics, hospitality, recruitment, retail, media and insurance.
Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, said: "Our objective is to bridge the gap between leading organisations and outstanding graduate and post graduate students from our International universities and institutes.
"The fair will provide students with an opportunity to find out the nature of vacancies available and relevant skills required to obtain those jobs. Additionally, it will also help corporates to reach out to the high calibre graduates coming out of Dubai Knowledge Village universities."
The Department of Student Services and Programs was formed to serve DKV students. It provides administrative support, immigration assistance and help in organising internships to both international and regional students.
In addition, DSSP contributes to academic and social development, through campus community programmes and orientation services.
