NUJ wants Johnston release

The UK's National Union of Journalists has condemned the presumed abduction of the BBC's Gaza Correspondent Alan Johnston last month at its annual conference in Birmingham, reported the BBC. The BBC held a day of action on Thursday to highlight Johnston's situation and an online petition generated more than 30,000 signatures. Johnston went missing in Gaza on March 12 and there has been no word on his well-being.
