Forsyth Partners appoints Global Head of Compliance

Dubai based global asset management group, Forsyth Partners, has appointed Alma Stokes as Global Head of Compliance.

Stokes, who is based in Forsyth Partners Dubai office, is tasked with maintaining and developing group compliance procedures.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Forsyth, Chief Executive of Forsyth Partners Group said, 'I am delighted Alma has come on board to help the Group work even more closely with our regulators around the world and particularly with the DFSA in Dubai. Alma has already demonstrated her ability following a very satisfactory first periodic visit by the DFSA recently.'

Prior to joining Forsyth Partners Stokes spent 8 months with Argent Financial Group International in Dubai International Financial Centre as Compliance Officer where she was involved in the launch of the first hedge fund in the DIFC.

Prior to moving to Dubai she spent over 5 years working in Compliance at Legal & General Investment Management in London having spent 3 years as Technical Advisor for the AXA groups international arm based in the Isle of Man. She started her career working in the mortgage industry in Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and is a member of the Securities and Investments Institute.
