Etisalat University College hosts Leadership Development Skills Workshop

Etisalat University College (EUC), the academic arm of Etisalat, hosted a workshop on Leadership Development Skills.
The workshop discussed important topics such as problem solving and co-operation with various team members, the different types of conflict that may arise for a leader, various strategies of dealing with conflict and their consequences, the process of selecting team members and the importance of having team members who act objectively. The workshop also addressed the process of identifying and categorising personality types and self evaluation tests as well as case studies to help participants understand different personality types and each individual's role when working as a team.
Prof. Kurt R. Richter, IEEE Fellow and a Professor Emeritus at the Technical University Graz professor in Austria, addressed the participants in the workshop. Prof. Richter has industry and academic background and has worked at NASA in USA. He is currently the Chairman of the IEEE Region 8 Awards & Recognition Committee and member of the Region 8 Educational Activities Committee.
The workshop was attended by experts, Etisalat representatives, academics and students from Ajman University of Science and Technology, American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah and Etisalat University College. The participants expressed interest in attending other workshops in the future that help them strengthen their leadership, management and communication skills.
