Tameer Holding unveils half billion dirham deal with Al Rajhi Projects & Construction
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, April 16 - 2007 at 12:48
- PRESS RELEASE
Tameer Holding, the region's leading real estate company, announced a deal worth over half a billion dirham with Sharjah based Al Rajhi Projects & Construction for the construction of phase one of the Al Ameera Village project in Ajman.
"Al Rajhi has a long and illustrious history in construction and we are very pleased to welcome them on board," said Omar Ayesh, President, Tameer Holding. "This is the first time we have worked together and I am convinced they can help us realize our ambitious plans for Al Ameera village, which is one of the most important developments in the UAE right now. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the company."
When completed, Al Ameera Village grand town-sized project will contain a five-star hotel, shopping mall, residential and business facilities, and is set to represent a major turning point in the evolution of the Emirate of Ajman. With extensive amenities for families and executives, it is already being considered one of the hottest property locations within the United Arab Emirates - conveniently located off the Emirates Ring Road close to both Sharjah and Dubai.
"Ajman is now a market in itself, with other property developers becoming increasingly attracted to the Emirate. But Tameer Holding has been a pioneer player here and was the leader in penetrating into this relatively underdeveloped Emirate, which is so clearly rich with promise," said Omar Ayesh, President, Tameer Holding. "Al Ameera Village is one of the most important projects on the company's plan and the value of this deal with Al Rajhi Projects & Construction - over half a billion dirham - only illustrates our commitment towards building a mixed-use project to rival anything that Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi has to offer."
Ziad Al Mous, General Manager, Al Rajhi Projects & Construction, said that the plans for Al Ameera Village clearly showed that the project will accelerate the progression of Ajman as a whole due to its improvement of the local infrastructure, its general services and the modern international standards of architectural design being implemented there. "We are very excited about the construction of this ground-breaking project and look forward to working with Tameer Holding," he added.
H.H Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ajman Crown Prince, officially commenced the development of the Al Ameera Village in June 2006 when he laid a symbolic 'foundation stone' on the site of its construction. First announced in May 2005, the distinctive Tameer Holding project immediately generated a large amount of interest from prospective investors and residents which continues to grow to this day.
