GETEX provided an excellent opportunity to highlight this distinctive American university that has recently opened a campus in the United Arab Emirates.

GETEX, that was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Education, is the largest education fair in the Middle East & Asia. This year the fair was held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from April 11 to 14.

Prospective students and parents who visited the George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus booth at GETEX had the opportunity to learn more about available degree programs, faculty, facilities and student life activities.

Staff from both the George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus and Fairfax, Virginia (USA) Campus were present at the fair to answer questions, along with students who are currently enrolled at the George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus. Current students shared their expertise and experience gained after one challenging but fulfilling year at this liberal arts institution.

The George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus was received successfully at the exhibition with several hundred inquiries . All inquiries will be invited to Open House programs scheduled for May and June at the Ras Al Khaimah campus.

"GETEX provided a forum for George Mason University staff to meet first hand with students, parents and other school officials. At this exhibition we de-mystified the application and admissions process while emphasizing the value an education from a selective institution such as George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus contributes to ones future employability," said Angela Franklin, Marketing Manager at George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah Campus. "Prospective students who visited the stand were also able to apply online, complete inquiry cards that will allow the university to remain in contact with them, have their academic credentials reviewed and much more."
