British Airways' market share take-off with summer seat deal
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 17 - 2007 at 10:38
- PRESS RELEASE
For the second time this year, British Airways - the UK's flagship carrier and operator of 21 weekly flights from the UAE to London Heathrow - has drastically cut fares on flights from the Middle East to the UK and North Atlantic.
With customers able to book a direct flight in World Traveller (economy) from Dubai, or Abu Dhabi, to the UK and flights to North America - via Heathrow, British Airways is confident UAE customers will snap the tickets up in what is traditionally a peak travel period.
"A similar offer earlier this year proved highly successful and combined affordability with a quality service. Passenger volumes are high year-round throughout the Middle East, but summer is always a busy time for families taking annual leave and holidaying abroad," said Paul Starrs, British Airways' Commercial Manager, Middle East.
"These highly competitive fares are aimed at enticing customers to travel with British Airways on their summer break," Starrs added.
Additionally customers will benefit from a 10% discount on British Airways Holidays' hotels and car hire by booking and paying online.
British Airways Holidays also has over 2,000 London hotel beds available during 2007 - more than any other agent. The rooms are available in central locations across London and provide fantastic stop-over opportunities for travellers en-route to other destinations.
A full list of all UK and North Atlantic destinations and fares is available online at ba.com where customers can book and pay for their flights. Customers can also book and pay online for hotels and car hire.
British Airways currently operates 14 weekly flights to London Heathrow from Dubai and operates daily from Abu Dhabi International Airport to the UK capital's principal airport.
