Cards & Payments Middle East 2007, the eighth annual conference on world class cards and payments strategies, addresses this critical issue and discusses the latest trends and challenges in this industry. Organized by Terrapinn, the event is taking place at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai from May 13th -15th.
'We have expanded our topic areas this year to cover diversity of subjects pertinent to the ever growing industry of cards in the region,' said Ed Haines, Conference Director for Cards & Payments Middle East, Terrapinn. 'Globalization of cards has driven the need for borderless payment services as well as the desire for transparent and faster transaction processing and the emergence of mobile banking; all of which are causing banks to make changes for their payment infrastructures whilst fraud incidents are on the rise. The agenda was built to highlight this critical issue and discuss ways of prevention.'
The session on Facilitating Comprehensive Fraud Prevention is part of the Cards Stream on Tuesday, 15th May and will be featuring key speakers from the industry such as Sanjeev Tyagi, the head of cards at Gulf Bank and Jamal Saleh, the head of risk management at the Commercial Bank of Dubai. These speakers will discuss, in an interactive panel session, way of identifying new forms of fraud, the opportunities of low credit product offerings to combat customer fears, mitigating against new vectors of fraud and ensuring the security of remote transactions.
This session will also reveal the new technologies and best practice methodologies being adopted globally for fraud prevention, as presented by an expert from Thales e-Security. These include digital signatures, superior verification and security tools.
