GITEX Saudi Arabia 2007: Samsung unveils the world's most innovative technology

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the market leaders in consumer electronics, IT equipments and mobile communications, today unveiled an innovative array of digital media, and mobile phones at Gitex 2007, the 6th International information technology exhibition for Saudi Arabia held in Riyadh.

As Digital TV market leader, Samsung continues to elevate its HDTV industry dominance by providing a full-HD solution for home entertainment. With the addition of its new line of Full HDTV LCDs- 1080p, Samsung offers consumers a variety of quality displays in a new innovative design.

Samsung's latest premium LCD TVs (40-, 46-, and 52-inches) offer higher picture quality and new advanced features, including full high-definition (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, which is nearly twice as high as the standard high-definition specification (1366 by 768 pixels). Samsung's Full HDTVs take full advantage of both the latest HD television content and HD components, such as the Samsung Blu-ray disc player. Consumers can enjoy the benefits of full-HD from the content source when they combine these Full HDTV LCDs with Samsung's second generation BD-P1200 Blu-ray disc player, which provides a complete full HD home entertainment solution.

Discover a whole new way to see, hear and feel with Samsung Blu Ray disc player. It offers twice the resolution of HD-DVD and five times more than a standard DVD with an audio bit rate that's up to ten times higher. This means you enjoy an unprecedented high definition from your HDTV. "But then with Samsung, it's not hard to imagine," said InamUllah Butt, Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics KSA.

Mr. Inam Ullah goes on to state that in "Today's high-definition televisions (HDTV) are capable of displaying a far greater amount of movie realism than a standard DVD can deliver. That's why Blu-ray Disc (BD) technology was developed.

Consumers will marvel at the clarity and full-color spectrum of every scene, while multi-channel sound puts users in the center of actionh. The Samsung Blu-ray player gives viewers full 1920p native output and up-conversion for their current collection of DVDs to near-HD quality. This player also offers backwards compatibility to current CD playback, so consumers can prepare to take the next step in DVD technology with Samsung.

"Throughout our continuing investment in market research and product development, we are launching new products that look good, perform even better and are easy to use. We now have a dedicated focus for the Kingdom which will allow us to introduce innovative sales and marketing strategies and develop a solid channel network which reaches both consumers and businesses of all sizes in the most efficient manner. Full High definition LCD are available and Mobile will be available in Saudi Market very soon" said Butt. Samsung, has just unleashed a new range of anorexic handsets in their Ultra range, the U300, U600, and ultra-thin U100.

The Samsung Ultra Edition II embodies the best of rapidly advancing technology, revolutionary mobile designs and must have business and consumer desired multimedia functionality, to create four of the slimmest, most powerful and best looking handsets. The Ultra Edition mobiles were created to strike the right balance between sharp attractive design and inner strength, performance and simplicity of use. Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100)
Making the phone in your pocket look invisible is the Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100), which claims to be the slimmest phone in the world.U100 is an impressive piece of engineering packing in a 3 mega-pixel camera, a 1.93 color TFT screen and 11 hours of music play time into its 5.9mm wide frame.

Samsungfs Ultra Edition 10.7 (U600)
The slider phone comes with a 3.2 mega pixel camera, 2.22 wide TFT LCD widescreen,
80MB internal storage, Bluetooth and Smart Messaging all packed in a slim 10.7mm case.

The Ultra Edition 8.9 (U300)
Wrapping up the new line-up is the U300, a 8.9-mm clamshell with a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, TV-out capability and 80MB of onboard storage. The 2.2-inch LCD comes with a large 240~320 resolution backed by an external 96~16 OLED.
