Internet radio in jeopardy

Internet radio stations will have to pay royalties 300% to 1,200% higher after a ruling by the US Copyright Royalty Board, creating fears for the future of web radio, BusinessWeek reports. The new rates will be applied retroactively. SaveNetRadio, a coalition of artists, listeners and broadcasters, is campaigning against the decision with a petition to Congress.
