Organisers Messe Frankfurt Middle East announced that the products that will go on display are those that have figured prominently in the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards, one of the most distinguished consumer technology awards programs, is sponsored by CEA and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the voice of industrial design, committed to advancing the profession through education, information, community and advocacy.
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program, sponsored by CEA and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), honors outstanding design and engineering in consumer electronics products. Since 1989, the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards have given consumer technology manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their newest products judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade press.
The Best of Innovations Award honorees are announced each November at the International CES New York Press Preview and are showcased at the International CES in January.
The Innovations 2007 awards represent 31 product categories ranging from audio accessories to biometrics to home networking to video accessories. Categories for the 2007 Innovations Awards program also included digital imaging, eco-design, enabling technologies, home theatre accessories, home theater audio, mobile audio, mobile electronics, mobile video, video displays, wireless communications and wireless peripherals.
The Best of Innovations Awards Honorees are the most highly honored products in all facets of the consumer technology industry. A sampling of the 2007 Best of Innovations products will go on display in the CES Pavilion, sponsored by CEA, at Hometech (Hall#: 1 Stand#: HT 531).
