COLTEC finalizes deal with Microsoft

These products will be used in 64-bit environments with applications such as Office 2007. They were updated and improved through development methodologies that adhere to the high standards of the latest Microsoft Office.

COLTEC is a pioneer and leading provider of technology for Arabic language information processing. The company has developed a proprietary Natural Language Processing (NLP) theory on which a number of applications have been built. COLTEC's Arabic language tools and services are not only used by leading corporations but by various Intelligence communities around the world. It is also worth noting that COLTEC has been the only company since 1993 to develop proofing tools.

The contract signed with Microsoft did not include any linguistic updates. COLTEC expects that another agreement will be reached soon with regards to linguistic updates. COLTEC is also planning to launch a new release of their proofing tools that will include linguistic updates in July 2007 and to officially announce that the updated Spell Checker has reached speeds of up to 600,000 words/second.
