Ramadan International Products Fair 2002 and Smart Fun Expo opens tomorrow

Under the 'Dubai the City that Cares 2002' umbrella, the Ramadan International Products Fair 2002 and Smart Fun Expo opens tomorrow, 9.30 pm in hall one, two and three of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Smart Fun Expo, a series of workshops offering education and teaching for children, is organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), and will be held in Hall three of DWTC. Smart Fun Expo is aimed at teaching children using enjoyable and entertaining methods, thus enhancing the child's learning abilities.

Thani Juma Berregad, Chief Co-ordinator Dubai the City that Cares, said, 'Our focus this year is children, and we want to be able to offer them as much as we can during Dubai the City that Cares 2002 through the Smart Fun Expo, a DCCI initiative for children.'

Organised by MEDIAC Communication and Promotion, the second Ramadan International Products Fair 2002, an international consumer products fair, will bring together a variety of goods from the local market, the Middle East region, Europe, Africa and the Far East in halls one and two of Dubai World Trade Centre.

Offering great shopping opportunities under one roof, Ramadan International Products Fair 2002 will run throughout the Dubai City That Cares event, from 11th November to 4th December.

The exhibition will include Dubai Charity Forum IV, and Mediac has assigned 22 stands for charity and nonprofit organizations, in addition to donating an amount of money by the end of the exhibition for charity purposes.

Nuha Safar, Deputy Chief Co-ordinator Dubai the City that Cares, said, 'Ramadan International Products Fair 2002 will be the perfect venue for wholesalers and retailers to promote new products and brands to large numbers of consumers, while at the same time contributing to the good causes associated with this year's Dubai City That Cares, namely the Red Crescent and UNICEF.'

In 2001, more than 35,000 people visited Ramadan International Products Fair, and with a wide variety of consumer and luxury items on offer in 2002, DCCI is confident of attracting even greater numbers of caring consumers this year.

In addition to showcasing the world's best technology products, décor items, fashion goods and educational products, Ramadan International Products Fair 2002 will celebrate the culture, heritage and traditions of Dubai and the UAE with live shows and entertainment, all taking place on an area of 5000 square metres.

'Dubai: the City that Cares 2002' is running from 2nd November until 12th December 2002, and is sponsored by American Express, Dubai Islamic Bank, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Gold & Jewelry Group, Dubai Shopping Malls Group and Al Zarouni Group.
