- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, April 21 - 2007 at 12:56
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Aluminium Company (DUBAL), the world's seventh largest producer of premium quality aluminium, expects to grow the volume of its sales to the Middle East and North Africa regions to 300,000 TPA by 2009, equating to a 25 per cent increase on the 240,000 tonnes supplied to these regions in 2006.
So said Mr. Walid Al Attar, General Manager, Marketing Department, DUBAL, announcing the company's participation at the Middle East Aluminium Exhibition, Alumex 2007, scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22 to 24 April 2007. The second event of its kind, Alumex 2007 provides the local aluminium industry with a platform for showcasing their businesses, as well as a forum for networking between suppliers, clients and equipment manufacturers.
Al Attar said: "Our participation will once again demonstrate DUBAL's commitment to the growth of the industry in the region. It will also provide a valuable opportunity to showcase the potential for growth, innovation and international best practices at DUBAL.
"Additionally the event, which is dedicated to aluminium and related technologies, will allow us to interact with and support our customers and end-users - both local and international. For potential future customers of DUBAL, this will be an ideal forum to learn more about our capabilities and our current expansion plans," Mr. Al Attar added.
Running parallel to the exhibition will be a conference, which will provide a reality check on technological innovations in both extrusion and foundry, with special emphasis on applications for aluminium in the building and construction industries. Mr. Al Attar will present a general paper on the first day of the conference, entitled "DUBAL.... From Vision To Reality".
The presentation will highlight DUBAL's successful track record since its inception, focusing on the way in which the aluminium giant has become one of Dubai's most prominent international business success stories.
At Alumex 2007, DUBAL will be one of almost 70 exhibitors representing key regional and international players, together providing a comprehensive showcase of the most advanced equipment, technologies and services within the global aluminium sector. The Dubai firm's stand will be one of the largest stands, and will be manned by sales and technical staff.
