Ghesa springs into Mid East real estate markets

  • United Arab Emirates: Saturday, April 21 - 2007 at 14:06
  • PRESS RELEASE

Ghesa Fountains, a specialist turnkey organisation in the design, project and installation of ornamental and cybernetic musical fountains and multimedia shows has announced that it is setting up a regional office in the Middle East to tap into the region's burgeoning real estate markets.

In a strategic move, the Spanish headquartered company which already has overseas representation in Portugal, Brazil and China, will start operations from their new office location in Dubai next month.

Responsible for the launch of Ghesa Fountains in the Middle East, CEO, Carlos Pissarra commented,
"The Middle East is a vibrant market with great potential. Our decision to open a dedicated regional office here in Dubai is primarily due to the lack of quality water fountains especially in public spaces. Dubai and indeed Abu Dhabi are being used as a global point of reference and we felt that as such they deserved water features to match if not enhance their global status."

Ghesa Fountains have installed over 3,000 landmark water features all over the world and their credentials are beyond approach, with an impressive array of world-firsts, non-more so than the award winning Magic Water Circuit in Peru. Their flagship project in the Parque de la Reserva in Lima has now been declared a historic national heritage and monumental urban environmental site by the United Nations. Ghesa beat over 50 international companies for the
US$ 13 million project, which at 82 metres high, is the tallest ever geyser installed in an urban park, with 13 cybernetic and large dimension fountains combined with swinging jets, dynamic flowers, water screens, multimedia fountains, and a three-watt LED multi-colour illumination. The project will be listed in this year's Guinness Book of Records.

Ghesa has also broken records in Portugal with a landmark sculptural fountain, the first and only geyser in the Atlantic Ocean. In Macau, China, they have also installed the biggest floating and the largest interactive fountains in South Asia. Elsewhere their impressive project list boasts the cybernetic and interactive fountain for the new Wembley Stadium in London, a cybernetic and multimedia floating fountain in Tunis, a cybernetic fountain with three-watt LED technology illumination, in Antibes, France and a 150 metre multimedia floating fountain in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

"So far we have already undertaken project work for Emaar and City of Arabia, as well as the consultancy work on the fountains in Mall of the Emirates. However, with a permanent local presence we expect to make further announcements about new projects in the near future," added Pissarra.

Ghesa's world-class pedigree is underscored by the quality of their project teams which include architects, creative designers, landscape architects, engineers and programmers. They supply prestigious projects with top quality materials and exclusive (patented) equipment combined with state-of-the-art technology to control water, lights and sound.

"Having the latest original patented designs and technology, together with top-class experienced professionals, gives Ghesa a competitive edge. We offer a turnkey operation and accept full responsibility, minimising risk," concluded Pissarra.
