Dubai Chamber will participate in the Forum as part of the UAE delegation to the UAE-Japan Business Forum which will be led by Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Economy.
The Chamber's participation comes in the line of its strategy that aims at supporting the business community in Dubai and its interest to introduce Dubai businessmen to the investment opportunities available in Japan. It provides them with a chance to set up joint ventures and attract Japanese businessmen and technology to Dubai, as well as exchanging expertise and promoting Dubai as an international business destination in the region.
H.E. Engineer Hamad Mubarak Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber, highlighted the importance of this Forum and its significant role in enhancing the bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the UAE and Japan.
He stressed the advantages which the participating Dubai economic organizations and authorities could get through promoting Dubai and its economic potential aiming to further revive the trade ties between Dubai businessmen with their counterparts in Japan which was first established during the Dubai-Osaka Economic Partnership Forum organized by the Chamber in December 2005.
"The Forum provides Dubai Chamber with the opportunity to promote its variable services and facilities which the Chamber offers to the Japanese investors willing to establish new businesses in Dubai. The Forum will also help introduce the Japanese business community to the investment opportunities and incentives in Dubai and the procedures of setting up direct or joint ventures at Dubai free zones,"
said Buamim.
He pointed out that the Dubai Chamber's stand at the Forum will provide its visitors of Japanese businessmen and investors with information about the services the Chamber offers to its members, as well as the information about the business environment and the procedures of establishing foreign companies in Dubai.
The UAE-Japan Business Forum and Exhibition is organized by the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Index Establishment for Conferences and Exhibitions, with an official support from the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Industry and Foreign Affairs, in addition to the UAE Embassy in Japan.
The director general of Dubai Chamber underlined the important issues which the Forum will discuss including the business environment and investment opportunities available in the UAE, in addition to some other workshops and presentations about the activities of the UAE free zones, financial services, industrial development and logistics, energy and environment, media and telecom, health care and biotechnology, in addition to real estate and project development, tourism, aviation and its related industries.
