A delegation from the Marine Agency visits Army Forces' Coastguard

A delegation from the Operations and maintenance team of the Marine Agency in the Roads and Transport Agency visited the technical operators of Army Forces' Coastguard in Dubai, in line the common cooperation between specialized authorities.

The Delegation- which comprises Mohammed Hassan Al Attar, Operation Manager, Masoud Mohammed Hashim, License and Registration Manager, Mohammed Ali Al Bastaki, Senior Engineer of Boats Design, Dr. Shahid Mustafa, Marine specialist and Mofeed Mohammed Al Jassmi, Registration and license supervisor -been received by lieutenant Mohammed Rashid Al Hamli, Commander of Fourth platoons in the Coastguard of the General Headquarter of Army Forces and lieutenant Mazin Salem Al Bardan, commander of Maintenance operator.

Engineer Essa Al Dossari, CEO of the Marine Agency in the RTA said: "This visit comes within the framework of exchange visits program with the competent authorities to achieve the goals that we want to achieve through the gate of the Coast Guard, which enjoys great experience in marine technical field and the most important objectives of this visit is to check the proposed site for lifting and maintenance of water bus in addition to the coordination between Marine Agency and the Coast Guard regarding the schedule dates for both lifting and landing of water Bus to do not conflicts with the dates of the Coast Guard, which leads to flexibility and cruise to work between the two parties.

He pointed out that this visit has opened vistas of cooperation between the Marine Agency with the leadership of the Coast Guard through the identification of maintenance works and marine guidance in addition to maritime equipment and other technical matters, which as we said that the Coast Guard enjoys high expertise and we in our turn, are striving to reach this experience, which will certainly add a lot to us in marine, and the implications to see how pumping water to clean the structure of the boat from inside and outside where these gained more information to our assets, which will gather from all over the world to reach the best results, and either on administrative matters has been checked also the registration and licensing regulations of vessels in addition to the technical inspection.

He clarifies that this visit will produce number of recommendation and orders, the most important is Water Bus, where they were presented and explained the designs and specifications of the bus in addition to the maintenance period which suppose to be periodically between six to eight months in addition to the preventive maintenance of the bus body every six months.

The preventive maintenance time for the cleaning operation and polish the bottom level in one day while changing oil would take only one hour. Either about the trial period for Water Bus will be in the middle of June next in coordination with the technical operator of the Coast Guard in case of emergency in lifting boats, in addition to periodic maintenance schedule, and finally approved on the maintenance site of water Bus in the same location and maintenance of the Coast Guard.
