UAE ramps up IPR protection

The UAE's Ministry of Economy has launched an initiative alongside the Trade Mark Owners Council to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights. The ministry will co-ordinate with the TMOC to set up effective partnerships between the government and the private sector for full IPR protection - in addition to holding periodical meetings between various intellectual property departments in the ministry and TMOC members.
