- United Arab Emirates: Monday, April 23 - 2007 at 11:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Western Motors, part of the highly respected Al Fahim Group, and responsible for retail sales of Jeep vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, was the Middle East's top performing Jeep distributor in March this year, recording total sales that finished at 128 per cent of target.
General Manager of Western Motors. "The first quarter of 2007 has seen us building on the success of 2006, and with the arrival of significant amounts of stock and the recent introduction of exciting new models such as Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, with the Jeep Patriot to follow later this year, we expect 2007 to be yet another record sales period."
The launch of the eagerly awaited all-new Jeep Wrangler is being celebrated across the region with a spectacular roadshow, the like of which has never been seen before in the Middle East - the Jeep Roadshow, which will be in Abu Dhabi from 22-28 April, will cover more than 110,000 kilometres over 110 days, visiting 11 key cities in 10 countries across the Middle East.
The roadshow will give visitors the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of the Jeep brand that has seen it gain cult status all over the world. "The programme of activities that will take place includes specially developed demonstrations of Jeep's legendary off road capability, with professional drivers putting the all-new Wrangler through its paces on demanding test tracks that have been designed especially for the roadshow, which also showcases the rest of the Jeep range - Compass, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Commander," added Rafih.
There will be great Jeep gifts and giveaways, and Western Motors has planned special celebratory events, so watch out for the roadshow when it reaches Abu Dhabi.
Building on the successful original Jeep formula with an all-new frame, exterior and interior design, engine and safety and convenience features, the remarkable all-new Jeep Wrangler delivers more capability, interior space and comfort, refinement, power and open-air fun.
Just as it did when it first made its debut way back in 1941, the all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler sets entirely new benchmarks in off-road capability - it also looks stunning, with its stylish yet rugged new exterior design and upgraded interior. "With more off-road capability, more versatility, more power, more on-road refinement and more comfort and space, the all-new Jeep Wrangler continues its legacy as the iconic personification of the Jeep brand - this is quite simply the best Jeep Wrangler ever," said Rafih.
The big news is that Jeep is making yet another revolutionary development to the 4x4 segment, with Jeep designers taking this classic vehicle one step further for 2007 by adding the first ever 4 door Wrangler - the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, to the range. Featuring a one-of-a-kind, four-door open-air design, the all-new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited expands the Jeep experience to completely new dimensions. With room for five adult passengers - a Wrangler first - and the most cargo space ever offered in a Wrangler, the Unlimited combines class-leading off-road capability with everyday practicality.
By the end of 2007, the Jeep brand line-up will have expanded from three models to seven - the most available to retail consumers at any time in Jeep's long, legendary history. No other automotive manufacturer in the world has the breadth of range of sport-utility vehicles that Jeep offers - by year end, the model line-up will comprise, in addition to the all-new Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, the Commander, Grand Cherokee, and Cherokee, plus the all-new Compass and Patriot.
With a growing network of showrooms and state-of-the-art service workshops, Western Motors aims to be the leading player in the local automotive market. By constantly striving to innovate and improve, linked with the company's commitment to quality, it will further build on its reputation for excellence, professionalism and dedicated customer service.
The Western Motors service centres in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain offer a total of 60 service-bays, and are fully equipped with the very latest technology and equipment. For even greater convenience, Jeep customers in Abu Dhabi can also drop off their cars at the downtown showroom in Khalidiya for service. "Our team of 80 highly trained staff is very focused on our number one priority - total customer satisfaction," said Rafih.
