du, the new telecom operator in the UAE, announced the launch of the second phase of their Number Booking Campaign from 27 April to 31 May 2007.

The second phase has been launched to provide customers who have either not successfully completed their number bookings under the 055-my number campaign or who did not participate at all, the opportunity to secure their existing number with a 055 prefix, if available. All they will have to do is go to any of the du shops or authorized dealers with their mobile number, receive a passcode on their mobile and collect their du line with the same number.

'We are proud of the innovative concepts we are introducing for the first time to the UAE market, such as 055-my number campaign, which was specifically designed to provide customers with greater convenience and comfort,' said Osman Sultan, CEO du.

The campaign has been so successful that other operators in the region have launched it for their customers.

Outlining the rationale behind the second phase of the campaign, Sultan added, 'We have received a significant amount of feedback from people who, for various reasons do not have a du line with their current number, and would like to have one. In keeping with our commitment to listen to the customer and cater to their needs, we decided to launch the second phase and provide them with one last opportunity to get the same number with the 055 prefix.'

The 055-my number Campaign which was launched on 26 Nov 06, was a massive success with close to 750K numbers being booked. Customers who were allocated a du number under the 055-my number campaign will get the exclusive 'Thank you' on purchase of the line before May 31, 2007.

However, there were a number of customers who did not complete their bookings and are still keen on getting their existing numbers with a 055 prefix.

There are also other customers who did not participate in the Number booking campaign but would still like to try and get their existing number with a 055 prefix. This campaign will address and cater to the needs of such customers as well.
