Bahrain International Circuit - Host to the opening round of the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship and the 'Home of Motorsport in the Middle East'. The circuit was awarded the prestigious FIA Trophy for the Best Organised Grand Prix in 2004. It is the most technologically advanced racing circuit in the World and the only circuit to host a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship in the Gulf. Races - The circuit boasts an unparalleled portfolio of international and regional motor racing at all levels and has promoted events such as the FIA GT Championship, GP2 Championship, F3 SuperPrix and Formula BMW World Final as well as International Drag Racing Exhibition. Events held in pristine facilities along with the friendliness and traditions of Arabia. Activities - The circuit is open all year round and incorporates outstanding on-track and off-track facilities for business & incentive tourism, corporate, cultural and social entertainment. BIC is also home to the only BMW Performance Center in the region and Adventure Drive Arabia, the leading 4x4 off-road course of its type anywhere in the world. BIC also operates a full programme of public driving days for cars and bikes with its leading brands; Open Track and Open Tour.

Road Safety - BIC is proud to be associated with the FIA Foundation's global road safety initiative 'Think Before You Drive,' aimed at promoting safe driving behaviour and awareness about road safety. The Kingdom of Bahrain's safety programme is focused on four core elements; Excess Speed, the wearing of Seat Belts, the awareness of Child Safety and the use of Child Seats and the condition of a vehicle's tyres. The Kingdom of Bahrain's campaign was launched in association with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Ministry of Interior and the Bridgestone Corporation at a ceremony attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and World Champion Michael Schumacher prior to the 2006 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
