Hassan Al Sirkal, Manger of Operations, DFM, said: 'This award reflects the DFM's efforts to constantly invest in new technology and enhanced services for investors, brokerage firms, listed companies and other stakeholders. DFM's new website was launched last year, and today attracts an average of 8,000 visitors on a daily basis and more than 200,000 visitors monthly. The number of visitors has increased tremendously as the site offers comprehensive information and data about the market, listed companies and brokerage firms, in addition to live quotes, the latest news and disclosures.'
He added:
'Our website offers other services to different segments, including for financial experts, analysts and the press. In line with the management's vision to continuously develop the website, a committee was formed last year to supervise the website's modernisation and ensure its complete accuracy.'
DFM's website won three awards in January 2007 at the Jordanian Web Awards, including 'Best Website of the Year,' 'Best Website Developed using Microsoft Technologies' and the 'Golden Award: Banks and Financial Institutions Category.' A range of leading financial services companies participated in the Jordanian Web Awards, during which DFM was nominated to take part in the Pan Arab Web Awards 2007.
