Safir Deira Hotel opens doors in Dubai

The five-star hotel is located in Muraqqabat Road in Deira, Dubai's downtown business and shopping district, and is already projecting occupancies in the high 80s during its first quarter of trading.

General manager, Maagid El Saarany said the property has been designed to appeal to both business and city leisure travellers. "Our Club Select business floor with butler service is ideal for corporate guests, while the hotel's location in the heart of Dubai will appeal across the board - with shops, restaurants, evening entertainment and commercial offices all close by," he said.

Interior design at the seven-storey hotel was the work of Saporiti Italia, and combines high-quality finishes with rich fabrics and custom-designed furnishings and accessories.

"Attention to detail runs throughout the hotel, where guests will receive personalised attention and five-star service standards at every level, from the rooftop pool deck to the TRIO of restaurants," explained El Saarany.

Facilities at the Safir Deira Hotel include 14 suites; two meeting and banqueting rooms with capacity for up to 200; business centre; Club Select business floor; pool, Jacuzzi, gym and sauna; the Adam's Kids Club; and five restaurant and lounge outlets.

The core restaurants are grouped under the TRIO banner and range from the stylish Arabic restaurant, Alsalamlak, which is already doing high levels of business thanks to its unusual Iftar and Suhour offering; to the Portofino bistro; and the inter-active 'you cook; we serve' Hot Waves set to offer fusion Mediterranean and Far East cuisine.

The hotel represents the first Dubai property for Kuwait-based Safir International Hotel Management, which operates 32 hotels in seven countries in North Africa and the Middle East.
