Team Y&R Amman named finalist at Dubai Lynx Award

The company was short listed for a major campaign that it designed for its department store client Cozmo, bringing together the true dynamics of providing for a wide cross selection of consumers and featuring the best of both worlds.

"We are delighted to be nominated at such a prestigious award ceremony, especially when the best agencies across the MENA region have taken part in the competition," Team Y&R Amman Chairman Sharif Abukhadra said.

The Dubai Lynx Awards is a new leading advertising competition, which is organized by the world renowned International Advertising Festival, organizers of Cannes Lions and the Eurobest Awards, the prestigious international events for awarding creativity in the marketing communications industry.

Over 15 countries from the MENA region took part in the Dubai Lynx Awards with a total of 388 out of 1679 entries submitted making it to the shortlist. Of the short listed entries submitted to the competition, 187 are in Print, 51 TV/Cinema, 59 Outdoor, 41 Direct, 24 Interactive, 18 Radio and 8 Integrated.

Amid such fierce competition, Abukhadra highlighted that 4 out of the 7 entries submitted by Team Y&R Amman in the retail outdoor category were short listed. "This is a true testament of Team Y&R Amman's high regional standards and excellence in creativity," he stressed.

Abukhadra further added that Team Y&R Amman was the only advertising agency in Jordan to be selected as a finalist at the Dubai Lynx Awards, re-iterating that this further highlights the company's leadership in the Jordanian market.

The Awards used state-of-the-art entry and judging systems. High-profile international jurors judged the entries to establish the definitive standard for creative excellence in the MENA region, while ensuring that advertising is at par with the highest international standards.
