Unlike any other promotional initiative launched by Visa International in the past, this campaign is especially tailored to fit the tastes of diamond lovers in Jordan. Launched in cooperation with Damas, the region's leading jewellery retailer, the promotion will run over a time period of 45 days starting on April 15th and ending on May 31st 2007.

Throughout the campaign's duration, cardholders may shop at Damas's showroom at Mecca mall where they can pick out their diamond-studded jewellery items of choice and purchase them at only half of their original price. This opportunity is open to any cardholder paying with his or her Visa or Visa electron card at anytime throughout the 45 day period of the campaign.

Commenting on the promotion, Regional Manager of Visa International in the Levant, Mr. Naser Abu Ghazaleh said, "The message we are hoping to send out through this campaign is that Visa International presents an added value for anyone who uses it as his or her preferred method of payment, in short, Visa provides you with all you need. Beyond being the world's safest, most convenient and easiest to use payment tool, Visa is now also the means for Damas customers to buy diamond jewellery with a competitive price tag that we believe is unmatched throughout the Jordanian market."

Mr. Abu Ghazaleh, further added, that this campaign isn't the first to be launched in the Kingdom and it won't be its last. "Just recently we had announced the names of the winners for our "You Buy. We Pay" winter promotion, a promotional campaign that was widespread across Jordan's most prominent shopping and entertainment outlets. We were delighted to see that our past promotions received a high level of participation amongst cardholders, and to this end, our inspiration for this campaign was the high acceptance rate we grasped from our cardholders."

From his end, Mr. Mutasim Al Bakhit, General Manager of Damas Jordan, said, "We are very proud to be partnering with Visa in this campaign, especially since we view Visa International with high regard. Visa international to us is not only a provider of electronic payment solutions; it is also a promoter of more convenient facilities for shoppers in the country, and a booster of our national economy's performance. We encourage our customers to come and visit us in our showroom in Mecca mall, for through this promotion we are providing Visa and Visa Electron cardholders the chance to indulge in the exquisite diamonds offered at our showrooms for twice the value."
