General Pension & Social Security Authority speaks to Etisalat staff

Representatives of the General Pension and Social Security Authority delivered a presentation to Etisalat's UAE national staff on Tuesday, 24th April 2007, regarding the amendment of the Federal Pension Law number 7 for year 1999 to law number 7 for year 2007.

The eligibility for retirement benefits has changed from 15 years to 20 years. The interactive seminar sought to explain the changes in the UAE federal Pension Law and the reasons that have led to the amendments in the law.

Abdul Aziz Al Sawaleh, Chief Human Resources Officer, Etisalat, said:

"At Etisalat, we believe in making our employees aware of changes that affect the work, personal lives and future of our employees. We also understand the reasons which have led to the amendments to the UAE Federal Pension Law. This seminar was the ideal way for our employees to meet with the representatives of the Authority and clear all their doubts and concerns."


Abdul Rahman Al Bager, Deputy General Manager of the General Pension and Social Security Authority said: "We are pleased with the opportunity to communicate with Etisalat's UAE National Staff directly and present to them the changes in the UAE Federal Pension Law."
