Areej celebrates its 15 year anniversary

Areej, a leading dedicated perfume, cosmetics and skincare retail chain in the UAE and Oman, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.

To mark the occasion, Areej hosted a 15 day celebration in its stores with a number of make-up and beauty events, exciting in-store activities and incredible offers on premium brands.

Turning 15, Areej has plenty to celebrate. From its inception in 1992, with its initial store in Burjuman, Dubai, Areej brought to the Emirates its first dedicated premium retailer for perfume and cosmetics. Enjoying a retail development that parallels the UAE's swift pace of growth, Areej today boasts a network of 14 stores in the UAE and Oman, averaging an impressive double digit annual growth consistently over the past few years. Areej, meaning 'scent of a flower' in Arabic, has evolved into a leading retail chain of international standard that distinguishes itself by retaining a balance between a pertinent product range, personalized service and contemporary look and feel.

As the market matures, Areej continues to address its consumer's evolving needs. It has extended its product range to include men's grooming and a number of holistic and alternative brands, such as Strivectin, Mario Badescu and Acca Kappa. They are also encouraged to pamper themselves in-store and enjoy exclusive makeovers, skincare and fragrance layering events.

As part of its ongoing quest to serve its customers and its society, Areej continues to stress the importance of taking an active role in initiatives towards the benefit of the environment. Working closely with the Dubai Municipality each year, Areej participates in campaigns that aim to preserve neighborhoods, improve environmental awareness and emphasize the importance of waste management.

Especially organized for the Anniversary and offered exclusively through Areej were a series of make-up events held in collaboration with brands like Pout, Scott Barnes and Serge Louis Alvarez (SLA). Areej ColourPro professionals held make-up demos and makeovers, revealing the 'must-have' looks of the season and discussing beauty trends at three of the UAE's leading shopping centers: Mall of the Emirates, Mercato and Marina Mall. A blend of nudes, purples and pinks were presented as colours of the season, radiating a vibrant and feminine appearance.

The year will continue to see interesting activities and product launches across various Areej stores. In addition to ongoing mini make-up and beauty events, customers can continue to visit any of the Areej stores and receive a complementary mini facial, a skincare consultation, or a fragrance layering session. Areej's beauty experts will advise pre-booked customers in areas relevant to their individual needs.
