RTA plans congestion cut

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority is studying ways to reduce the number of privately-owned vehicles on the emirate's roads, Emirates Today reported. Specific measures have not been revealed, but other cities with traffic congestion problems have implemented special city tolls and restricted car licencing. A toll on Dubai's main roads will be put into operation soon.
