Based on the four elements Air, Water, Fire and Earth, the spa embodies Hilton's philosophy of 'putting back a little of what life takes out' creating a tranquil and indulgent atmosphere for the Arabesque themed facility. A team of multi-national therapists will work in unison to offer guests the Thalgo spa brand, as well as a personalised spa product line.
Mohab Ghali, the resort's general manager stated:
'Ras Al Khaimah is poised to become the UAE's newest and hottest getaway spot, only an hour's drive from the Mussandam fjords. We offer spectacular views of the ocean and the mountains, and we have created a world-class facility here that will make guests want to stay forever. Now that the spa is open, there is no excuse for guests not to make the short drive from Dubai or the other emirates, and treat themselves to some luxurious pampering in a stress-free tranquil environment.'
The deluxe villa suites all feature private patios with sea and Hajjar mountain views. The resort also introduces two restaurants and two bars: Waterbreaker, overlooking the Arabian Sea; Lighthouse, an open air rooftop bar with stunning sunset vistas, the poolside Dome Beach Bar, which features nutritionally balanced delicacies with fusion flavours, and Passage to Asia, a contemporary Asian restaurant with a menu of Chinese, Thai and Indian favourites.
On completion end of 2008, the property will provide a further 330 rooms, all with terraces or balconies overlooking the Arabian Sea. Current on-site facilities include four free-form temperature controlled swimming pools, comprehensive water sports facilities, and a fully equipped gym and health club.
The Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa complements Ras Al Khaimah's existing Hilton property, the 227-room Hilton Ras Al Khaimah set on the Creekside, and becomes Hilton's 15th property in the Arabian Peninsula. Hilton is expanding its presence in the U.A.E with the region's first Conrad hotels opening in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in 2009, in addition to Hilton Jumeirah Beach Residence in November 2007 and Hilton Dubai Beach Club in August 2008. The company's development pipeline extends to Doha and Kuwait, with openings in 2008.
