The event was held at the Palm Hotel, Dubai, and attended by the Palm Ladies Group from Jebel Ali.

The seminar was aimed at educating all those who were simply interested in these mystical gems or wanted to enhance their knowledge about the professional diamond grading system. The event highlighted Liali jewellery's tremendous track record as one of the premium diamond jewellery retailers in Dubai.

Anuraag Sinha, Managing Director of Liali Jewellery, said: "In our pursuit to provide value addition to our customers, we would like to educate them on the characteristics of diamonds as well as the certification process for diamond jewellery from international agencies like IGI, especially for our in-house diamond jewellery brand - Memories."

He added that a diamond certified by IGI in Antwerp, New York, Mumbai, Dubai or at any of its locations, is recognised internationally and traded anywhere in the world. "These seminars will only create more transparency for our customers and strengthen the faith and confidence that they have placed on Liali."

David Geyskens is associated with the Antwerp Laboratory of IGI in Belgium, as a grader. David boasts of extensive experience and knowledge of diamond and has shown an ability to identify and analyze emerging diamond jewellery trends and their implications on global diamond trade.
David Geyskens explained the purpose of this seminar was to teach participants how to sort and buy diamonds both in the rough and polished state and how does colour, imperfection, shape and proportions affect prices. "I confronted participants with diamonds and gave them a detailed insight into the characteristics of diamonds, including the diamond grading process. I was pleased to see that all the ladies showed great enthusiasm in learning the process."
